There is such controversy today about religion. Which one is the real deal? Man made religion comes in all shapes and sizes. One of the main religious schools of thought is most certainly the Christian faith. What defines a true Christian? Some people believe that a true Christian is a forgiving person, a praying person, and a non judgmental person who seeks to do the will of God. People that truly believe that we are here to be reborn into the eternal life lead different lives, this is so true. Some want to get everything they can, money, land, no matter who they may hurt in the long run, and then go to church on Sundays and expect to be forgiven. This is, of course, never the way to go.

In the Christian faith, to be forgiven is to ask God to forgive you of your sin, no matter what it may be. Praying is one of the most important things that Christians do. They read their bible and try and live the life God wants them to live. That does not mean you have to be a pauper and live in poverty. Prayers are asking God to grant you the good life, as He wants for you. Living the good, honest, Christian life can be hard or not. To be the best person you can be, believe in the Lord’s commandments, and pray. This is just about the only way to be a true Christian. Is that so hard? Once you think about it, no it is not.

One of many Christian’s favorite bible passages teaches us to “Ask, and it will be given to you.” That is a beautiful thought. It says to “Seek, and you will find.” All you have to do is look. “Knock, and the door will be opened for you.” You see, God will always respond to your prayers, no matter what they may be. Probably one of the hardest things Christians find to do is to believe in God, that He will answer your prayers. You must be strong and believe that He will. He answers all prayers, maybe not when you want him to or how, but He does answer them. And believe it or not, with prayer comes solace and peace within you. Many belong to a certain church where they find these things, others find it in going up to a mountain and looking over what God has made for them to admire.

Christians will love unconditionally, or they’re supposed to. Some do not, which is very sad. To truly love someone is to love them unconditionally and all of their faults. We as humans have many faults; some are easy to live with, others, not so much. But we must learn to love everyone. The Christian life will give you so many things, with God in your heart, you will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams, but you must believe.

Some say the Lord’s prayer every day and every night. This helps them throughout the day. Is being a Christian hard today? Yes, maybe harder than in the past. But with perseverance and prayer you will not go wrong. God Bless you all.
