Hi, I am looking to buy some cheap but decent rosary beads in the UK.... The only ones I seem to be able to find are either plastic, or £40!!
I found some really nice ones here;

Help! How Can I Rescue My Marriage Before We Drift Further Apart?

Does it sometimes seem like your marriage or relationship is turning colder with every passing day?

Is it true your sex-life is on a downward turn â€“ and has been for a while?

I have been married for 19 years and find that our relationship and sex life is in limbo at present. There are so many demands on our time that there is none left for intimacy, not to mention sex.

But of course, you could at any time DECIDE that your relationship is more important than those other things â€“ and begin giving energy and attention to the relationship.

[Unhappy Married Man] I have read a number of articles explaining quick fixes to relationships that frankly do not work. I am not looking for a quick fix to our current dilemma, but something more lasting.

[Calle Zorro] I agree, â€œquick fixesâ€ do not work because a â€œquick fixâ€ is nothing more than trying to get something for nothing â€“ and anything worth having has a price associated with it. A mutually warm, loving, and sexual relationship is one of the most valuable things a person can have â€“ and something that valuable doesnâ€™t come for free â€“ it doesnâ€™t come â€œauto-magicallyâ€. The price one must pay to enjoy a wonderful relationship is maintaining a certain state of mind, devoting time to each other, and putting effort into keeping the relationship exciting.

[Unhappy Married Man] I have deliberately used the word â€œourâ€ because this includes my wife as well. I am not looking for self gratification, but rather the chance to rediscover the strong feelings of love, romance and excitement my wife and I had earlier in our marriage.

[Calle Zorro] This ties back to the state of mind price I mentioned earlierâ€¦ If youâ€™re anything like a normal man, there was a time when you were attracted to the lady who is now your wife. She was all you could think about. She was all you WANTED to think about. Thatâ€™s a state of mind. You CHASED after herâ€¦yes, you wanted her sexually but you also wanted her as a person too. Thatâ€™s a state of mind. You used your mind to DESIGN ways to spend more time with herâ€¦thatâ€™s a state of mind. You had plenty of OTHER things that you could do but you were interested in MOSTLY allocating your time to herâ€¦every chance you could get to be with her and to do things with herâ€¦you took advantage of. Thatâ€™s a state of mind. Probably, as youâ€™re reading this, youâ€™re reflecting back to that time and remembering that state of mind â€“ and thatâ€™s the pointâ€¦you HAVE the mental faculties â€“ the ability â€“ to recreate that same state of mind and OPERATE in that state of mind â€“ AT WILL. Itâ€™s a CHOICE. All youâ€™ve got to do is DECIDE that you want to and then DO it.

[Unhappy Married Man] We still love one another but the reality of the situation is that a lot is said in anger over 19 years and the concept of â€œforgive and forgetâ€ is not always put into practice.

[Calle Zorro] One of the things I talk about in my product, â€œHow To Seduce Your Wifeâ€, is how that we mostly want to view forgiveness as a ceremonial act of the offending party coming to us and begging for our forgiveness and we â€“ like some pompous being of royalty â€“ ceremonially grant them pardon and forgiveness. But of course, that almost never happens and so people go through life perpetually offended as they frequently reflect back on offences. So, a much more useful form of forgiveness is to view it as picking the â€œweedsâ€ out of the â€œgardenâ€ of your own mind. Itâ€™s just so much more useful for you as a man to consciously and purposely throw out any negative thoughts that you may be holding onto related to both real and perceived offences â€“ no matter whether your wife ever acknowledges her â€œwrong-doingâ€ or not.

[Unhappy Married Man] I am sure that a â€œshrinkâ€ will have an explanation for this situation, but please my wife and I are not looking for answers like â€œdid you wet your bed as a childâ€ or many others that come to mind.

[Calle Zorro] Iâ€™m with you on thisâ€¦ Iâ€™m sure there are social workers and family counselling therapists who are sincere and who help peopleâ€¦Iâ€™ve just never met any of them who could do anything besides take things around in circles and upset both spouses more than they were before. The fact is, if you have a splinter in your finger, thereâ€™s not a lot of value in talking about how you got that splinter. Whatâ€™s more useful is simply removing the splinter. Similarly, if youâ€™re cold, thereâ€™s no value in talking about the cold. Instead, DO SOMETHING to get some heat going and the cold just goes away. Itâ€™s exactly the same in a relationship. Thereâ€™s not a lot of value in talking about past grievances and trying to weigh out exactly who was at fault and to what extent they were wrong. But, there IS a LOT of value in DOING things that create a warm, sexual marriage.

Help! Has my son become a Catholic?

Recently, I found what I believe to be a rosary in my son's room. It has five large purple beads, but they're kind of soft and squishy. Also, there is a plastic ring tied the end, probably to hang it on a hook or something. Anyway, he doesn't seem to be interested in Catholicism but what else could these funny-looking beads be used for?

Easter Baskets for Children

Find baskets of suitable size for each child.

Also strew leaves or grass if desired.

Since easter is primarily a religious holiday, include a small prayer book for children. For those applicable, you may also add small religious items like rosary beads or rosary ring.

Add colorful eggs. Choose from real painted ones or colored plastic eggs with toys inside, or egg-shaped candies.

You may also put in a cute stuffed bunny or chick.

A small coloring book with bunnies or eggs or symbols of spring will also entertain the child when the easter program is over. Add a small box of crayons so the child can start on the coloring book immediately.

Pocket sized story books about bunnies, eggs, spring or hope are perfect additions to the goodies, and they are educational as well.

Surely, the Easter basket will be enjoyed by the children when they see how prettily decorated it is, and the colorful goodies inside!

question about catholic medals with flower and saint?

My grandmother gave me several medals from her time. Most of them have a flower on them. At first I thought it was for pretty decoration, but I wonder if there is a spiritual symbol to it? I don't know what kind of flower, not a rose, they have a circle center and petals.

Also can you help me identify the name on one medal? It's a pin pendant. It has the flower on the back then the picture is of a female saint who looks like she's wearing a nun veil. The writing on it is hard to read but this is what I can make out:
"S. Franc XAV Cabin"

I think that the flowers are purely ornamental. I haven't been able to find anywhere where it explains why there is a flower on the back of some of them.

What do you think of the Catholic pope telling the Africans to not use Condoms?

These experts seem to agree with the Pope:

Green, director of the AIDS Prevention Research Project at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies, wrote: "In every African country in which HIV infections declined, this decline has been associated with a decrease in the proportion of men and women reporting more than one sex partner over the course of a year—which is exactly what fidelity programs promote."

The Catholic Church has never asked unmarried people to have unprotected sex. Neither has she asked married couples with diseases to have unprotected sex.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
3. Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control is against the will of God.

If the world is going to ignore teachings about chastity (1 & 2), then why is the world so upset about teaching artificial birth control (3)?

People who are already ignoring the more important teachings about chastity (1 and 2) should have no problem ignoring the less important teaching of artificial birth control (3).

Even if a person infected with AIDS was to use a condom to help protect his or her spouse, condoms are not 100% effective (read the box) and the spouse may be infected and die anyway. A person who truly loves their spouse would not endanger them in this way.

In regards to sex outside of marriage, the Church makes it a practice not to tell people how to sin. With or without a condom:
• Fornication is still fornication
• Adultery is still adultery
• Rape is still rape

What Pope Benedict Xvi Can Expect From His 83Rd Birthday And 2010

There is a "pointer" from the Pisces 2 Planet Alignment to the Saturn Retrograde in Virgo Alignments.

I recently wrote an Astrological Profile for Easter-April 4, 2010. I explained that the Universe wants Justice administered in the secular and religious world. I believe that one or both of these "pointers" is re iterating this "demand" from the Universe.

These two pointers have been "duly noted". I will return to the two pointers if this Birth Day (April 16, 2010) Chart (The Universe's Voice-Psalm 19:1) deems it necessary.

It really appears that God is speaking through the Universe (Psalm 19:1) and demanding that the areas He is pointing out are promptly addressed.

God (as spoken by the Universe-Psalm 19:1) wants Pope Benedict focused on Virgo (the Blessed Virgin).

Keep in mind that the Saturn Retrograde in Virgo (Virgin) and Mars in Leo were the two pointers that I immediately noticed on Pope Benedict XVI's (83rd) Birthday Chart. Keep in mind that Mars rules Aries and Aries is Pope Benedict XVI's Sun Sign and Pisces is His Ascendant (Rising Sign). This can't be a coincidence! The Universe (God's Voice-Psalm 19:1) is in Full Control!

How many politicians and business men have we witnessed tried and sentenced to incarceration? How many kingdoms have we witnessed overthrown and kings deposed? How many famous people have been sent to jail? How many religious people are under lawful scrutiny? God called Moses at age 80. At that age, Moses initially rejected the assignment (Exodus 3:1-end). God is presently Judging the secular and Spiritual world. It would be unwise to imitate Herod who hated the Light (Matthew 2:1-10; John 1:1-5). God, through the Universe expects His Beloved Pope Benedict XVI to take Courageous (Leo) and Just (Libra) actions swiftly (Joshua 1:5-10).

Meaning of St. Sebastian Medal?

I also want to know the meaning of the other like St. Jude and St. Michael. Maybe someone have a link to a site with their meaning. Greatly appreciated.

St. Sebastian is the patron saint of archers and athletes.
St. Sebastian was a captain of the guard under Diocletian. When it was discovered that he was a Christian, the Emperor ordered that St. Sebastian be taken out into a field and bound to a stake to be shot at with arrows. Even though he was shot a great number of times, he did not die.

He was found alive and nursed back to health. During his recovery, he restored a young girl’s sight. When the Emperor discovered St. Sebastian was still alive, he ordered that Sebastian be stoned to death and his body placed in a privy.
