Marine Bootcamp, Tips to Survive

Marine Bootcamp is the hardest in the American military. There are things you have to know if you would like to survive thirteen weeks of unlimited stress and pain.

The US Marine Corps prides itself on the highest standards and Marine Bootcamp is the place to begin. Many would be Marines believe that by being in top physical shape will make Marine Bootcamp easy; physical fitness is just one factor that must me mastered by recruits. The psychological challenges are the most deciding factors for a recruit to conquer. Drill Instructors will make it their very personal goal to instill the maximum level of stress after arriving at Parris Island or San Diego training depots. It doesn't matter if you are the most fit individual or another one is the smartest or tallest or shortest one. Everybody in Marine Bootcamp starts as meaningless beings. The idea is to train everybody from the bottom up and instill a sense of teamwork among the sign ups. Those well prepared for the thirteen weeks trial will be the ones carrying the rest mentoring the less skilled recruits.

The Drill Instructors will never show satisfaction as their recruits progress trough training but they can definitely pay attention to those excelling and those not too skilled yet.

Those that excel in Marine Bootcamp may get promoted to a higher rank at the end of training or be given an award for superb performance during Bootcamp. There are several challenges through training. There are physical challenges like physical training that include running, higher body strength, martial skills, the assault course. Recruits must show proficiency during combat testing where they are going to learn to shoot a rifle, recruits will learn basic combat patrol methods, night movements.

Recruits will also face many psychological challenges which will include testing where sign ups must show knowledge with customs and traditions of the Marine Corps.

Recruits will be told to move at lightning speed at every point even if they're tired. Being away from home will also turn out to be a psychological test specifically when some recruits are away from family for the 1st time.

Recruits must learn how to work together and help one another when it is required because Drill Instructors will never do it. Marine Bootcamp is really challenging but the trick is to know what can be expected and be prepared for the hardest thirteen weeks of Marine training and eventually be a part of the few and the proud the Marines.
